Dr. Md. Faizul Islam is an Adult and Paediatric Cardiovascular Surgeon who was endowed with fellowship in congenital Cardiac Surgery from Amrita Institute of Medical Science (AIMS), Kochi, Kerala, India. Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research Institute Mumbai, India. He also obtained fellowship from Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi India. He is an expert in the field of any type of Adult (CABG, Valve Replacement and Repair) and Congenital Cardiac Surgery including Surgical Correction of hole in the heart (ASD, VSD, PDA, AP Window), Surgical Correction of Complex Congenital Cardiac defects (total correction of TOF), different modalities of treatment of Coarctation of Aorta, single ventricle morphology, different types of palliative shunts (BT, MBT, BDG, Potts shunts, Waterston shunts), different types of total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous connection (TAPVC), AV Canal defects and Surgery for Ebstein’s Anomaly of Tricuspid Valve. He is one of the expert in doing MICS Paediatric Cardiac Surgery especially trans axillary approach of doing open Heart Surgery. He is regularly doing Beating Heart Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG) and Mitral, Aortic, Tricuspid Valve repair and replacement.
